Which voice type am I??

Here’s a quick video explaining the voice registers (in simplified terms) as well as a short exercise to see which voice part you might be more comfortable singing.

Chest - generally your speaking voice, resonates in the chest

Mixed - moving up towards your cheeks bones. Think about the space you can create when you open your mouth. Imagine how it feels when you say ‘Yeah’ in an enthusaistic way at a gig. This is your mixed voice.

Head - lighter, feels a little thinner and more breathy. Try singing a high note on an ooohhhh (like a noise you would make when you see an impressive firework).
